  • Biography

    I am currently Assistant Professor at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Eindhoven, Netherlands.
    I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2011 and 2013, respectively, and the PhD in Electric and Information Engineering in 2017, all from the Polytechnic University of Bari , Italy.
    From November 2016 to February 2017, I was a visiting researcher at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
    In 2018, I received the prestigious award from the ERCIM Security, Trust, and Management (STM) Working Group for the best Ph.D. Thesis in Information and Network Security.
    From 2017 to 2020, I was Post Doctoral Researcher at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), College of Science and Engineering (CSE), Doha, Qatar, in the Cybersecurity Research and Innovation Lab.
    I joined TU/e in January 2021 as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in IoT Security and Privacy, in the Security (SEC) Group. I am the Responsible Lecturer for the course of Advanced Network Security, and Teacher Mentor for approx. 15 Students of the IST Track.
    I am also serving as an Academic Editor for the journals International Journal of Information Security (Springer), Security and Communication Networks (Hindawi) and Guest Editor for MDPI journals. I am also involved in the TPC of several top-notch conferences and journals.
    My major research interests include applied network security and privacy issues in Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber-Physical Systems.
